Being an artist defines my life. Even if I'm not working, I view my reality, or some might say unreality, with an aesthetic eye. I create representational work using acrylic or oils that are sometimes embellished with pastels and pencils.

I am always pushing the limits of my chosen medium. I started weaving as a personal expression of color, texture, and space. I want to blur the line between craft and art. Inspiration is only constant in its changes. Nature, travel history and technology all influence what turns into fabric.

The quiet repetition of daily activities, the slight changes in patterns, textures and colors mark the day, the activity, the object, as different today than it was yesterday. Small changes make the world move forward. Weaving, knitting, crocheting, coiling…opening a world of change and beauty.

Summers and vacations always took me to the Land of Enchantment and Mesa Verde. Needless to say, that is mainly my subject matter, especially Santa Fe architecture. With mediums that include pencil, oils, combo pencil and pastel and some clay, I truly like pencil drawing most.
