Lydia sees the possibility of a painting in almost everything she looks at and tries to transfer the joy she feels while creating a painting into her work. She loves color and uses it lavishly. Her work was shown in many galleries on the Southern California Coast before moving to Texas.
Depicting landscapes with oil paints has been my main emphasis, whether from photos or plein air. Studying and working in other mediums from time to time continues to be of interest and a learning process for me.

After a lifetime of teaching children how to draw, Danny Jones decided to retire and concentrate on his art and adult art workshops. He began teaching workshops in 2005 and gives Portrait, Drawing, Oil, Watercolor and Any Media/Any Subject Workshops. He also offers "Destination Workshops".
Lynn works with her husband Danny conducting art workshops in Santa Fe, Taos, Alpine, Telluride, Pagosa Springs and San Miguel de Allende. While Danny teaches Lynn tours and entertains spouses. These workshops include galleries, studios, shopping, golf, city tours and selected restaurants.

I love to paint beautiful scenes of mountains, trees, rivers, gardens, and flowers. I make portraits of my family, capturing everyday moments to remember the life we have. I hope my paintings will reflect the beauty of nature, the happiness of my family, and the calmness that I strive for.
I can't say I specialize in any one form of photography because most anything can inspire me, from urbanscapes to nature photography. While I find street scenes the most interesting, I often find that to be the most intimidating due to my inclination of not wanting to intrude on other people.
My mother always made art supplies available to me and my brother. About age 4, I drew an abstract mural in polychromatic crayon on the living room wall. A real mess. When mom found what I'd done, she congratulated and praised me for the excellent work. I've been scribbling and sketching ever since.
