Jude Hill’s Spirit Cloth inspired my departure from the precision of counted threads to the wild mind of patchplay and eco-dyeing. Recent cloth and stitch explorations are documented on my blog, along with Don Ackert's assemblages.

"When the first digital cameras came out, I became fascinated by how you could work with digital images on the computer to give them a painterly look. That fascination quickly became my avocation and has opened a new world to me, one full of interesting people and great beauty."

My art is organic; from the way branches and deadwood are selected to the finished sculpture. Once I select a piece, it is set aside for a time as I contemplate its shape and potential, allowing ideas to flow. Then, I begin helping it take shape until it reveals itself to me.
